Hello and welcome to OVER THE SKY — a dedication and approved fanlisting for the Vision of Escaflowne ( Tenkuu no Escaflowne ). It tells the story of Hitomi Kanzaki, a high school girl who spends her time reading fortunes with tarot cards, running on the track team, and harboring a crush on her upperclassman. One day, she begins having strange visions of a mysterious boy, and it isn't long before he appears before her, fighting a large dragon no less! Before she can catch her bearings, a column of light transports her and the boy to a new world called Gaea—a foreign place where Earth and Moon hang in the sky.

Escaflowne is a unique combination of a variety of genres - shoujo, fantasy, action/adventure, mecha, medevial, iseaki and to this day, it's fondly remembered by audiences. It's been over 25 years since I first watched the series and I still hold it dearly to my heart. Even now, I don't think I have the words to convey how much impact the story, characters, world and music had on me.
